Job vacancy
We are looking for highly skilled and competent tradesmen to work hands on restoring and repairing vintage and classic cars. Many trades are involved in the restoration of motor cars and we currently have a vacancy for a competent body restoration specialist, but would consider other highly skilled individuals competent within their fields relating to the maintenance and repair of Vintage and classic vehicles.
The applicant must be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Pre and Post War cars (and motorcycles) and be able to work on their own initiative and have a keen eye for detail.

Brand new Type 2 VW Camper Van,
Le Riche Automobile are pleased to announce that they have the Channel Island agency for the new Type 2 transporter/camper manufactuered by VW Brazil and
re-worked by Camper comversion specialists Danbury of Bristol.
Prices start from £18,950 for a basic LHD people carrier registered in Jersey onwards to £30,000 plus for the top of the range camper conversion. There is a menu pricing system so you can choose as much or as little of a Type 2 camper experience as you like!
We now have a demonstrator van, Penelope, in classic 1970's VW orange and fitted as a camper so feel free to make a call to have a test drive.
Also we intend to hire Penelope to both locals to take away and none locals to trawl around the Island. Prices start from £95.00 per day.

Jersey Old Motor Club Boxing Day Run. 2008
Some 100 pre 1950 motor cars turned out to partake in the 40th 12 Parish Church
Cavalcade.
Weather was glorious with sunshine, but cold. Many families and friends make this a tradition every year to enter to blow away those cobwebs from Christmas day.

Michael has a great experience of
motorcars through his many years
spent in the motor industry and on the
race circuit. His working career
included a directorship with the UK’s
Ferrari importers, Maranello
Concessionaires before returning to
Jersey as MD of the Ferrari dealership,
Melbourne Garage. His racing career
includes 13 races at the Le Mans 24
Heures and nowadays he can be seen
competing in all sorts of historic events
including the Goodwood Revival

Jersey Road Race
Did you know that the 1952 Jersey
“Grand Prix” was won by a brand new
C Type Jaguar from the world
renowned Ecurie Ecosse team? This car
had just been driven straight from
the factory to Jersey so it had to
complete a running in period of 1000
miles around our little lanes before
the race. Mr. Salmon (see above)
remembers doing 140mph along the
