This MG TD2 was one of the last of the TD's produced with more power was first registered 1234 TD on the 27/7/53. The TD model was soon replaced by the MG TF. The comprehensive history file has invoices dating back to the 1970's and shows a quite extensive mechanical overhaul was undertaken in 1977 , followed by major body works and mechanical works in the early 1990's, by MG T type specialists Naylor Brothers. In the year 2000 the car was sold by Paradise Garage London to a Jersey resident. In 2010 it changed hands locally and another round of works was undertaken by the enthusiast owner. Now for sale as it is too young (1950 vehicle cut off date) to be eligible for the Jersey Old Motor Club.
Regularly used and driven MG TD2 with the benefit of a 5 speed gearbox and chrome wire wheels. Enthusiast owned and maintained for the last 10 years it looks like it has only covered 5500 miles since in Jersey and was often seen on rallies in France. A good example with good upgrades. The current Jersey registration number fitted is excluded from the sale and would be replaced with anther, and for reference VAT at 5% (into the UK) would apply if re-imported there. In very good order having had a major body restoration undertaken in 1990 by marque specialists Naylor Brothers. Since then it has been well looked after and garaged and used sparingly and is still in fine condition today. The colour combination of Old English White bodywork and red leather suits the car very well.

Well maintained and looked after during its life with invoices showing substantial rebuilding works undertaken in the 1970's and early 1990's with a final purge within the last 10 years. More recently there has been an electronic ignition distributer fitted, a stainless steel exhaust , a new fuel pump, a brake system overhaul, a new water pump and regular servicing works undertaken. An uprated fully synchromesh gearbox is also fitted making the car a joy to drive.
