Believed to have been a private import to South Africa by a wealthy businessman, probably an ex-UK car possibly an ex diplomatic car that was built in France. The car was purchased via an agent by a Jersey resident in 2017, who commissioned extensive restoration work, mostly carried out in South Africa by a Citroen specialist. Following this work, the car was imported to Jersey in 2018 and additional works were undertaken.

One of the most advanced production cars of its time, noted for its aerodynamic, futuristic body design and innovative technology, the DS set new standards in ride quality, handling and braking. A very desirable classic car and relatively rare in right hand drive form.
This car has been professionally and sympathetically restored. It is in very good condition and eminently usable.
The DS23 with electronic fuel injection is the most desirable model of the DS range.
The car is currently Jersey registered and can be viewed in Dorset by appointment. Import tax may apply (5% into the UK) and transport costs, with which we can assist if required.

As part of the restoration work carried out in South Africa during 2017, a bare-metal re-spray in Lorient Blue was undertaken.
The car has since had a new windscreen fitted and further cosmetic work in our workshops. The bodywork is now in first-class condition.
