We can see why the previous owner went from a RR and Jaguar XJS (his other car) to a Smart car which is far smaller, as it looked like old age was getting the better of his ability to drive a large car in a small island environment, given there are a few dints and dents in the coachwork.
The RR was serviced on a regular basis until 2010 when the last major work was undertaken twice (major service, new tyres, new air con compressor and gas upgrade, and brake spheres) at 52,282 miles on 12/1/10 and 52,390 miles on 14/7/10. Due to the owner's age, the car was then garaged and used very little until we purchased it from his estate. The car has been re-commissioned with a new battery, air con recharged, new fuel pumps and has now covered a few hundred miles and been fully 'woken up'.
The interior is okay however the magnolia leather front seat and door card could do with a cosmetic tidy up.
This special order Rolls Royce Silver Spirit II was first registered on the 1st January 1991. It was supplied by St Helier Garages, Jersey to a local businessman who has recently passed away whilst in his nineties.
The specification is as follows: Balmoral Metallic Green coachwork, Everflex roof, factory-fitted electric sunroof, green tinted windows, Magnolia leather interior, green Wilton carpets with matching green sheepskin rugs, a centre console drinks cabinet with two leather bound hip flasks and four crystal glasses and rear picnic tables. The Silver Spirit II was fitted with an active ride set up which helped stiffen up the suspension, so less roll than previous models.
