James Norman Wood

Joining us as a work placement apprentice at 17 years of age, while studying for a diploma in Automotive Studies at Highlands College, he has completed 3 years of in-house tutoring in the specialist trade of vehicle restoration, with a focus on mechanical engineering. James is a rare breed of young man who shares a passion for vintage and classic bikes and cars as well as having a keen interest in historic military vehicles, being a regular participant in Jersey’s Classic Military Vehicle Club events and re-enactments. His pride and joy are his Triumph TR7, a 1978 ¼-ton Land Rover and his Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Remarkably, unlike many in his age group, James is not glued to his computer screen playing “World of Tanks” - he would prefer to learn how to repair the real thing.
