Designed by Alec Issigones this innovative front wheel drive little gem proved a huge success for Austin / Morris / BL for some 40 years both in the dealerships and on the race track. Produced in many guises and capacities the Classic Mini is a frequent visitor to our works with full or part restorations being undertaken. If you look at the pictures you will not there is a very famous Works Mini Cooper S, one that partook in the 1964 Monte Carlo rally when mini’s came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, this one coming in third place driven by R Altonen. This car is currently in a Jersey collection of 1960’s works cars and is campaigned at events throughout the UK.
