About
Founded in 1919, Alvis gained a reputation for building fine, high quality motor cars between the Wars such as the Speed 20 and 25, the Firefly and the 4.3 litre. Post War models such as the TD21, TE and TF models were made in saloon and convertible form, with some bodies styled and built by Graber of Switzerland. These later Graber models are desirable today along with most of the pre-War models. Alvis were very well engineered and constructed vehicles, aimed squarely at the luxury end of the market. Today they have a keen and loyal following of enthusiasts and popularity is increasing for pre War models, especially in Continental Europe.
